🌿 Exercise: A Gentle Memory Moment

Step 1: Close your eyes or soften your gaze.
Step 2: Picture your dog in a moment that feels safe — not perfect, just safe.
Step 3: Notice one small detail (their ears, their tail, their presence).
Step 4: Stay for a few breaths.
Step 5: When ready, return to the present moment.

Reflection:

  • Did this feel comforting, painful, or both?
  • Whatever you felt is okay.

You are always in control. You can stop or return anytime.

🌿 Exercise: Holding Two Truths

Grief is rarely just one thing.

Step 1: Name one thing that hurts deeply about your loss.
Step 2: Name one thing you feel grateful for from your relationship.
Step 3: Sit with both truths together — without choosing between them.

Love and pain can coexist. One does not cancel the other.
